FESTIVE CHEESE BALL
This cheese ball great to make ahead and serve with crackers at a party.
500g cream cheese at room temperature
2 cups of shredded medium cheddar cheese
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp onion flakes
1 tsp lemon juice
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/3 cup chopped parsley (reserved 2 tbsp for garnish)
1 lb of bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
or
1/2 cup roasted salted hulled sunflower seeds
Measure the first 7 ingredients into a bowl. Mash and mix together. Shape into a ball.
Roll the ball in bacon bits or the sunflower seeds and the reserved parsley.
Refrigerate for up to one week. Can be frozen if not used in one week.
