Lasagna - GOOD LASAGNA
January 2020- I just made this recipe again after a long break. Everyone loved it! The main reason for the break was that a couple of my kids had been trying dairy free diets and then gluten free diets. They've taken a little more liberty lately so I decided to make this for our growing family! 3 of our kids got married in 2019 so the dinner table is stretched when everyone is home! It's great!
I hand wrote this recipe card about 30 years ago, the year I got married! I don't remember where the recipe came from originally, probably a magazine. I probably gave it the name 'Good Lasagna'! As you can see, the card has many stains on it from frequent use! During our early years of marriage this would have been an expensive recipe for us to make since I'd have to buy 3 kinds of cheese, etc and we were on a tight budget. Of course, we had ground beef from the farm and maybe onions and peppers from the garden. Nowadays I always use fresh mushrooms and fresh garlic when I cook. I still cook von onjefäa (great low german phrase for 'with approximations') but I will add amounts below!
