WHITE SOUR CREAM COOKIES
These "grandma cookies" are very tender and the dough requires refrigeration time before rolling and cutting.
Ingredients:
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla
3 ½ cups white flour
2 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp ginger, optional
½ tsp lemon zest, optional
Directions:

Directions:
- Cream together the margarine and sugar, then add all of the remaining wet ingredients and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients.
- Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir together.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap or wax paper and cool it in the refrigerator overnight or in in the freezer for 3 hours.
- Take small amounts of dough at a time and roll to ¼” thick on a generously floured surface and cut out cookies with a round cutter and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake in a 350 oven for 9 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Top with your favourite icing.
